Case Study
RexSailing
Full-Stack Developer at BlackWires | Feb 2026 - Present
My Role
RexSailing is a private yacht charter product based in Martinique. At BlackWires, I built the customer-facing inquiry and booking experience, including the structured request flow and the custom visual system used to present yachts and itineraries.
What I Built
Charter Inquiry
Built the inquiry flow that collects dates, group details, yacht preferences, and trip requirements in a structured format.
Booking Workflow
Connected inquiry data to the booking flow so the team could move a request through review and confirmation.
Product Presentation
Implemented the customer-facing yacht and itinerary presentation needed before a guest submits a request.
Responsive Experience
Adapted the browsing and inquiry experience for desktop and mobile without splitting the workflow into separate implementations.
Design and Product Decisions
Structured Inquiry Data
Captured booking requirements as explicit fields so requests could be reviewed without extracting details from free-form messages.
Progressive Booking Flow
Divided a detailed charter request into manageable steps while preserving the entered data between them.
Torn-Paper Visual System
Used reusable layers, textures, and edge treatments to implement the custom brand direction consistently across pages.
Shared Responsive Components
Kept yacht content and inquiry controls reusable across screen sizes instead of maintaining separate mobile pages.
Outcome
The released experience gives guests a clear path from exploring a yacht to submitting a structured charter request. The custom interface supports the brand without separating the booking workflow from the information customers need to make a decision.
